The Centre in George Street has an onsite crèche which provides free childcare for parents attending courses at the Centre.  The crèche is also open on Monday afternoon and Thursday morning for two stay and play sessions during the week where parents can drop in and share in the play opportunity with children from 0 – 5 years old.  The sessions run all year, including school holidays.  The crèche was Ofsted inspected in 2006 and achieved an Outstanding grade.   The report highlighted – ‘Children develop a huge amount of confidence through the excellent care, love and attention they receive from the staff.  Children are valued and treated with respect by staff, who show overwhelming warmth’

The attached settings for the Children’s Centre are Little Squirrels Community Nursery and Greenmount Pre-school. Parents are able to access full day care for babies and children from 0- 4 at Little Squirrels Nursery, Nicholson Road, Ryde.  Greenmount Primary School Pre-school provide pre-school provision for children from 3 – 5 years old.  For more information contact Little Squirrels on 615648 or Greenmount on 562165.
