SureStart Ryde Children’s Centre believes Every Child Matters and aims to improve outcomes for children and their families. As a Children’s Centre we deliver services from our building (at the rear of the Baptist Church in George Street), in the home and out in the community from Parent and Toddler Groups.

SureStart Ryde was originally a Local Programme which piloted projects to support children and families within the Ryde area. Since 2006 the Local Authority have taken on responsibility for delivering services to meet the Government’s Children’s Centres’ core offer and Ryde have been able to build on the provisions that had been put in place through the Local Programme and begin to roll out services Islandwide.

SureStart Ryde Children’s Centre delivers fully inclusive responsive multi-agency services within the local community because we believe every child and family matters. Our aim is to improve the life chances of every child so that they can enjoy and achieve and make a positive contribution.   We will do this by working in partnership with all families; empowering them to make a difference for their children, by helping them to be healthy, stay safe and aspire to achieve economic well being and reach their full potential.
